DOM la cupola del pilastro is Laminarie's theatre company operative location, who operates it in partenership with Quartiere San Donato - Comune di Bologna.
The dome is a 600 squared meter equipped multifunctional venue for performative and musical activities, installations, exhibitions. The venue is characterized from the particular dome vault architecture and the circular plant and it is equipped with a wide scenic space, services, foyer, bar, offices and a dormitory. DOM is situated in the area “Pilastro”, in a urban context of complex and interesting intercultural cohabitation.
Through its opening project, Laminarie is going to manage the Cupola as a new cultural laboratory opened to various influences, where it could be possible to experience innovative ways of aggregation and relation. The project is centered on theatrical research, but it will be open to other artistic languages, through a continuous dialogue with the public, the students, the artists, the other cultural Institutions of the city.
